Ocean Grove Photography

My friend Damon and his family built their dream home in Ocean Grove, a seaside town in Victoria on the Bellarine Peninsula. Damon and his lovely wife Jane invited me and Daz down to check out their new digs last weekend. Man is it a beautiful house, it's massive, but homey. Their kids, Angus and Lola are just the cutest, funnest little things. We visited a beach nearby, took a spin to the look out and stopped at Flying Brick Cider for a bite to eat and a run around (the kids) here's a few pictures from our short visit.

Collins Street Photography - Face Painting with Aoife McCormack

Aoife is the beautiful lady in these photographs. She asked me would I like to work with her on a project that would take me completely out of my comfort zone so of course I said yes. We shot at night, in the cold, and I had no speed-lights or external flash. We made do with the torch from our phones and the ambient light from the city. I'm not a huge fan of too much grain in my images but I had to own it on this occasion and in the end I think it adds to the athmosphere of the photographs. Just a little sample below.

   

Werribee Gorge State Park - A hike with friends

I'm getting in to this hiking lark. If nothing else it gives me a chance to get out and use my camera more often. Even if I do have a bruise on my hip from it banging off it when I swing it round the back.
