vintagetrig.com
yesterday I had the pleasure of working with the stunning Kallie Ann Colfer who was styled by the fabulous Agnes of vintagetrig.com. Agnes wasn't present at the shoot but she had Kallie kitted out with the most fantastic dresses and accessories. Hair by Mark. MUA Sarah Jane Hanton @ beautyteam.ie Sneak peek of the photos above, will upload more once Kallie picks her favourites.

busy

been run off my feet the past week. haven't had a minute to sit down.
had 2 shoots with beautyteam.ie. both where VIP competition winners, so ordinary women come in to the studio they get full hair and makeup done in the style that they have chosen. Louise the first girl of the week decided she wanted to go for 70s style. So after a visit to Agnes in Vintage Trig she arrived to the studio armed with gunas galore to be styled within an inch of her life. Firstly she had her hair styled by the amazing Rebecca Marshman then it was in to the makeup chair to allow Sarah Jane Hanton to work her magic.
We had so much fun. I shot her in different outfits, different poses etc. Lou was so easy to work with, she would do anything you asked her to.. within reason :)
all in all a great day had by all... loving working with the girls on these shoots. will blog about the second one tomorrow, in the meantime the above is a selection of some of my favourite shots from the day

Exposé Live
so today was Xposé Live for STELLAR magazine. i arrived 10 mins early (obv) and waited outside to be met by the lovely Dilan who was to be my partner in crime for the day. he was the "style spotter" and i was the photographer... an unbeatable team! the day was very slow to begin with and kinda continued like that for the day. to be honest it was slim pickings. people where there for comfort rather than style which i found strange for such an event. i can understand why people went for comfortable but would have made my day more interesting if they had have dressed up. so the day was a wave of stylish women of all shapes and sizes arriving at the STELLAR stand, which had myself, Makeup Forever providing free makeovers and STELLAR being sold for half price just €1. it was all go. and the team where very professional and the experience i got was experience i would never have gotten anywhere else. at the end of the day i got the opportunity to photograph the fashion show (pics on flickr), style lesson from Corrina Gaffey and the presentation of the award for most stylish woman that day. I will post pictures from the style search after they have been printed in the magazine. in the mean time check out my flickr!

bloggin' for the hell of it

so i'm new to this blogging thing, but i found myself thinking in status updates or feeling like i wanted to share things but didn't really feel like sharing them with my friends, so here i am.
the latest addition to my life is my bicycle! i love it! i wanted one for so long and then my ever wonderful boyfriend got me the one i always wanted but never really knew i wanted. stereotypically it's pink, its a beach cruiser and has a basket and a disney princess bell. i also have to pedal backwards to stop. the only disadvantage being that where i live is mostly hills and there are no gears but i don't care i love it and i will soon have legs like beyoncé so how bad!
i have a feeling that i will blog about my bike alot, and how it affects my life (or how i allow it to) i have already begun planning my outfits around my bike which is always fun. i started abandoning my car for said bike ie cycling the 15km to and from work everyday, in the hope that it will help me to achieve my goal of losing another 18lbs before the end of may. watch this space.
another thing i like to do is to read angel cards. this is also relatively new to my life but i really enjoy it and really feel a connection between me and the angels although i do struggle as i know that angels are gods messengers but i am still unsure how i feel about this whole "god" thing. being raised catholic forces me to ask many questions about the religion. i have only read my sisters and my mothers and one of my male friends cards so far but i seem pretty spot on, i would like to try it out on a stranger but am quite nervous. again watch this space.
thats about it for the evening, i will blog again.
