Derek & Aisling, Jack Meades Wedding, Waterford

Derek and Aisling are very dear friends of mine, they seem to be going out forever and I don't even know them for the entirety of their relationship. They got married in a very small civil ceremony last September and asked me to pop out to the afters (before the party began and boy did it start) to take a few pictures of them, their friends and family.

Below is a taster of what we did.

Katie's Tips - Tip 1

Sit down with your photographer before the wedding and outline what photographs you want taken on the day and what ones you definitely don't want to do. A handy tip is to assign someone outside of the bridal party and not a family member who knows everyone who needs to be around for formal portraits at the venue. They can be responsible for rounding up the troops leaving you free to enjoy the day. It will also reduce the photo taking time leaving you even more time to enjoy yourself.

Deirdre & John, Passage East & The Woodlands Hotel

Deirdre and John got engaged at the start of this year, they've been together a year but maintain when you know you know. I found Deirdre via the Ray D'Arcy Show on Today FM. Deirdre contacted the show looking for her dream dress which she had in her head but couldn't find within her budget. She was the ultimate budget bride so I mailed to say I would do her photography for free.

Everyone told her she was mad to get married in November... I beg to differ.
